What If?

What if we all allowed Jesus to live through us every moment of every day? I'm absolutely positive that our world would be a much better place. I know it's not
"Song Lyric Sunday" yet but I was so touched by this song today that I fell on my face in front of Him. Surrendering all of me. What if???

Big Daddy Weave Lyrics - What Life Would Be Like

I wish I was more of a man
Have you ever felt that way
And if I had to tell you the truth
I’m afraid I’d have to say
That after all I’ve done and failed to do
I feel like less than I was meant to be

And what if I could fix myself
Maybe then I could get free
I could try to be somebody else
Whose much better off than me
But I need to remember this
That it’s when I’m at my weakest
I can clearly see

He made the lame walk
And the dumb talk
He opened blinded eyes to see
That the sun rises on His time
Yet He knows our deepest desperate need
And the world waits
While His heart aches
To realize the dream
I wonder what life would be like
If we let JESUS live through you and me

What if you could see yourself
Through another pair of eyes
What if you could hear the truth
Instead of old familiar lies
And what if you could feel inside
The power of the hand that made the universe
You realize

He made the lame walk
And the dumb talk
He opened blinded eyes to see
That the sun rises on His time
Yet He knows our deepest desperate need
And the world waits
While this heart aches
To realize the dream
I wonder what life would be like
If we let JESUS live through you and me

All our hearts they burn with hate in us
All our lives we’ve longed for more
So let us lay our lives before the one
Who gave His life for us

He made the lame walk
And the dumb talk
He opened blinded eyes to see
That the sun rises on His time
Yet He knows our deepest desperate need
And the world waits
While this heart aches
To realize the dream
I wonder what life would be like
If we let Jesus live through you and me

Father God I thank that we can come before you and lay our LIVES before the One who gave his life for us!!! Amen! Glory! I'm crying tears of joy again Lord God because of your amazing ability to free and my heart cries, "why me?" "who am I?" why would you choose to save me??? I praise You Father. I praise You Father. I praise You Father!!! I'm laying it all down. All of You is more than enough for all of me...for every thirst and EVERY need! You satisfy me with Your love...and all I have in You is more than enough! More than all I know. More than all I need. You are more than enough for me!!!!!

P 90 X

I'm ready to be back. I've been neglecting quite a few things in my life and one of them is my health and fitness. I am up 16 pounds since my wedding day and am no longer able to stuff my legs/butt into my size 10 pants/jeans. I once began P90X 2 years ago shortly after marrying Kyle. I lost 8 pounds the first week with the workout and food plans. I stopped the workout plan after that and began working on running that marathon (which wasn't my original goal for starting running). ANYWAY..this weekend I weighed and the number on that scale was a scary sight! I decided that I am changing my ways. I started P90X again yesterday and have already lost 1.5 pounds and  yes my goal is to get rid of those 16 I've put on in the last couple of years. I will keep you posted AND share my before and after pictures with you along the way. I already feel better. The nutritional guide is great!

I'll be posting about other stuff I have been neglecting in the next few days. Its time to come clean!

Oops...Song Lyric Sunday :)

I used to listen to a band called Incubus all the time! I heard this song again the other day. Its great!

INCUBUS: Dig

We all have a weakness
But some of ours are easy to identify.
Look me in the eye and ask for forgiveness;
We'll make a pact to never speak that word again
Yes you are my friend.

We all have something that digs at us,
At least we dig each other
So when weakness turns my ego up
I know you'll count on the me from yesterday

If I turn into another
Dig me up from under what is covering
The better part of me
Sing this song
Remind me that we'll always have each other
When everything else is gone.

We all have a sickness
That cleverly attaches and multiplies
No matter how we try.

We all have someone that digs at us,
At least we dig each other
So when sickness turns my ego up
I know you'll act as a clever medicine.

If I turn into another
Dig me up from under what is covering
The better part of me.
Sing this song!
Remind me that we'll always have each other
When everything else is gone.

If I turn into another
Dig me up from under what is covering
The better part of me.
Sing this song!
Remind me that we'll always have each other
When everything else is gone.

Song Lyric Sunday

This song lyric Sunday is dedicated to none other than my very wonderful friend Jenny Helm. I am so blessed by the words that she and I were able to say to each other today. I love you girl!!!

Say
John Mayer

Take all of your wasted honor
Every little past frustration
Take all of your so-called problems,
Better put 'em in quotations

Say what you need to say

Walking like a one man army
Fighting with the shadows in your head
Living out the same old moment
Knowing you'd be better off instead,
If you could only ...

Say what you need to say

Have no fear for giving in
Have no fear for giving over
You'd better know that in the end
Its better to say too much
Then never say what you need to say again

Even if your hands are shaking
And your faith is broken
Even as your eyes are closing
Do it with a heart wide open

Say what you need to say...

Monday = Go Time

I'm getting back in shape starting tomorrow. I have goals and finally feel strong enough to follow through. I have been working out 4 to 5 days a week but my issue is with the food I eat. I eat terribly!!! So, I'm writing to say that I have weight loss goals and marathon goals and am ready to feel better. I would appreciate prayer in this area and any running buddy that is willing to go a few weekly jogs ;)

Thanks!

Forgotten Friday?

I just got called "Pebbles" over FaceBook. I had COMPLETELY forgotten about this nickname I was given over 10 years ago. I began my first summer job at age 15 in the summer of 1999 at Schlitterbahn Water Park. I was a S.W.A.T. and that title stood for SANITATION, WASTES, AND TUBES. Don't forget about the tubes. All I did that summer (for $4.75 and hour) was change trash can liners, roll tubes to their designated area (because guests at Schlitterbahn thought that the tube drop offs were where ever they thought convenient) and take lifeguards cup after cup of water. So, my first day at the job my lead (or first boss ever) Cherif Gacis was in section 3 (yes I remember). He was very nice and funny and we are still friends today. He started calling me Pebbles because I wore my pony tail realllllly high and was always laughing. I have pretty fond memories of working at Schlitterbahn but I had forgotten this name until he said "have a good day Pebbles" after a chat on FB. I think I will wear a pony tail today in honor of America's number one water park...still.

101

Ladies and Gentlemen,

You are reading the 101st (is that how you say that?) blog post. WOW! Thank you all for sticking with me. It is my goal in the next 100 to glorify the Lord, inspire, and grow. I'm ready!

Soon after finishing this blog post I am going to be beginning a 90 day study on the life of David by Beth Moore. I'm excited because it is something I can do on my own, while traveling about, in my own time. I have been wanting to learn more about the life of David since I heard the sermon that I posted about Caves. I will keep you posted on all I am learning.

Have a great Tuesday!!!

Tonight I am doing an online presentation of what Kyle and I do! So if you have 20 minutes at 7:00 PM tonight you can see!

I Run to You

I Run to You:
Lady Antebellum

I run from hate
I run from prejudice
I run from pessimists
But I run too late
I run my life
Or is it running me
Run from my past
I run too fast
Or too slow it seems
When lies become the truth
That’s when I run to you

Chorus
This world keeps spinning faster
Into a new disaster so I run to you
I run to you baby
And when it all starts coming undone
Baby you’re the only one I run to
I run to you

We run on fumes
Your life and mine
Like the sands of time
Slippin’ right on through
And our love’s the only truth
That’s why I run to you

Repeat Chorus X 2

Thank you Lord that you inspire me through music. I'm at peace only with You. I know I run from my past and mostly from what you have for my future. I praise You Lord that you know all. I'm learning every single day to run to You..

Lu Lu Childress

Lucchese is our new now 7 month old kitten. She is so so sweet and sleeps on my side of the bed with me. We named her Lucchese after my favorite pair of boots and because her brothers name is Stetson. The two of them like each other for the most part :) We call her Lu Lu and I am so glad that we have her!

AND Yes..I am once again a Blondie and I promise that this will be the color for a while. i think I have had almost every color of hair this year. Ha!

On another note: Lu Lu and I would like to congratulate Nocona Koenig for earning her first Mary Kay car. We are praying for Nocona as sbe keeps on keepin' on towards the pink Caddi

Hope yall have a great weekend!!!

LOVES
