Run With Me: Advanced Beginner Program
I've been asked, "What's next?" Do you know what this means? Some of you are actually running with me! So here's the next:
Week 1: run 1 minute, walk 2 minutes complete sequence 7 times
Week 2: run 2, walk 2 complete sequence 5 times
Week 3: run 3, walk 2 complete sequence 4 times
week 4: run 5, walk 2 complete sequence 3 times
Week 5: run 6, walk 1 1/2 complete sequence 3 times
Week 6: run 8, walk 1 1/2 complete sequence 2 times
Week 7: run 10 walk 1 1/2 complete sequence 2 times
Week 8: Run 12, walk 1, run 8
Week 9: Run 15, walk 1, run 5
If you just finished the Beginners Running Program (BRP) (below)
Week 2: run 2, walk 2 complete sequence 5 times
Week 3: run 3, walk 2 complete sequence 4 times
week 4: run 5, walk 2 complete sequence 3 times
Week 5: run 6, walk 1 1/2 complete sequence 3 times
Week 6: run 8, walk 1 1/2 complete sequence 2 times
Week 7: run 10 walk 1 1/2 complete sequence 2 times
Week 8: Run 12, walk 1, run 8
Week 9: Run 15, walk 1, run 5
Week 10: Run 20 minutes nonstop
After you complete the above program you will go right in to this 6 week program which will work you up to running for 30 minutes without stopping:
Week 1: Run 20 minutes without stopping. Yes you repeat week 10 of the BRP
Week 2: Run 22 minutes nonstop
Week 3: Run 25 minutes nonstop
Week 4: Run 28 minutes nonstop
Week 5: Run 30 minutes nonstop
Week 6: Run 30 minutes nonstop
After you complete this program you will start running mile(s) at a time. I am so proud of you for sticking with it!
