Target

The Target in Kyle, TX closes way too early in my opinion. 10pm? I'm just getting started at 10pm! So tonight my late Target run turned into me joyriding around Kyle, TX praising the Lord with my moon roof open and windows down. Awww! So. Good. For. The. Soul!
"our God is greater! Our God is stronger! God you are higher than any other! Our God is HEALER awesome in power OUR GOD! OUR GOD!!"

I didn't need to buy anything at Target I was just going to look around and get out of the house. Obviously He is all we need. So refreshed!

12

I've been a Christian for 12 years today! I will never ever forget the day! I remember feeling and knowing that I am free and the shackles are gone forever! Thank you Lord that you are working in me! You've been beyond patient with me and I'm going to see the plans you have for me through!

Where You Lead Me
What is life?
A thousand roads, a thousand ways
Why am I so afraid to move
I crossed the line
I'm stepping out so come what may
I give it all cause I'm drawn to You

As long as my heart is beating...
Where You lead me I will follow
Where You lead me I give my life away
Where You lead me I will follow
Forever and a day
Forever and a day

I can't deny Your very presence is my life
And why would I ever turn away
Cause deep inside I know that I cannot rely
On anything less than faith

As long as my heart is beating...
Where You lead me I will follow
Where You lead me I give my life away
Where You lead me I will follow
Forever and a day

This is all I'm dreaming of
To live completely in Your love

So this is life

Where You lead me I give my life away
Where You lead me I will follow
Forever and a day

Where You lead me I will follow
Where You lead me I give my life away
Where You lead me I will follow
Forever and a day
Forever and a day

Friday Fun Fact

I need the quote below on a coffee mug!

Happy weekend! What are your plans? Isn't it amazing that the God of the universe knows how things turn out for us? So comforting! As you go throughout your day on Friday and then on Saturday and Sunday my prayer is that you know you are forgiven and loved. That you know and rest in the fact that you are dearly loved and fought for and sought after. God loves you and has the most amazing plans for you! Grasp Him dears. He's the only way to peace.

A Quick Trip

A quick trip to Houston with Kennedy Kate on Monday did my soul good. The book I've been working on is my testimony and I've learned that to move forward in complete freedom I've gotta deal with some stuff instead of my normal (unhealthy) mindset of "Gotta Run" (see the blog title really does need some changing). So I thought and prayed some things out and im taking some steps I'll fill you in on soon.
Kennedy loved visiting with her Grandma, aunt Lindsey, cousins Landon, Valentina, & Alek, Aunt Candy, & great grandma & grandpa. She's such a trooper and didn't get grumpy at all. It was a quick trip that ended with me taking Lindsey and Landon to my dads in Seguin and I loved every second. Today we celebrate all that is Christmas with my dad and step mom Diane. Can't wait!

"Hope is here!
Shout the news to everyone
It's a new day peace has come
Jesus saves"

Stepping Up

I'm really excited about launching me (but it's not about me) Don't worry. I'm not going anywhere with FHTM I just got an idea on a run and I've decided to go with it. Today I launched a "social media & your business" class in Austin and 30 people SHOWED UP!!!! So I guess the official launch of Jenny Childress Communications is launched. AND several people asked if I would be willing to work with them individually on branding themselves through social media sites! So fun! Please pray! I was frustrated one day because I want to be crafty and make stuff and earn money by doing my talent like many of my friends do (but I'm in NO WAY crafty) and I heard a voice deep inside say, "you're real good at talking. And inspiring. And Facebook. Why not?" and I went with it. I'm also in the process of working on my very first short book for Jenny Childress Ministries because let's face it: I was called to ministry in the fall of 2003 and I can't ignore that call anymore! God has awoken my soul and set my feet upon a rock and I'm just thrilled about this life I'm called to.

"I will rise when You call my name. No more sorrow no more pain I will rise on eagles wings. Before my God fall on my knees and rise" -Chris Tomlin

Please pray!

And this girl is cute in a Christmas hat :)

Any Time

Ever have one of those days where you say out loud, "any time you want to come back Jesus you can just come on back"? It's not that today was particularly bad or that things have been going wrong, it's that my heart has been heavy with Ecclesiastes lately. It's not about me pondering my purpose or about fear. It's just that since last Sunday when pastor Ryan preached a sermon on the Mount of Olives (no not a sermon about the Mount of Olives but he was physically preaching to us here in Austin via prerecorded footage from the top of the Mount of Olives) and I SAW with my own EYES where Jesus, my Savior walked and where He will return i've been longing y'all. I want much more intimacy with Jesus than I have had in the past. When I have a yearning for Jesus like this it makes me know and understand why everything else is meaningless. A chasing after the wind. I understand a little bit more about why finishing is better than starting. Been singing these lyrics all week long:
"I'm running through the gates of love as fast as I can" -Phil Wickham
"get over get over get over the sun"
-Shane and Shane

Ever had a stirring in your spirit like this?

1:21 AM

I'll blog early today since I can't seem to fall asleep. I saw a quote somewhere recently that said something like, "if you can't fall asleep don't count sheep count your blessings" I don't think that's quite it but you get the picture. So I was laying here NOT counting sheep & thinking about all the times every single day the Lord provides and I got so excited that now I can't sleep! The keeper of the stars has me up and blogging about His goodness. So today at this early hour I am thankful.
Thank you Lord for a wonderful day! Thank you that you restore.
Thank you for my family.
Thank you for sunny days.
And victories
And challenges
And walks to the park
And swinging
And baby laughs
And goals
And life
And breath
Thank You for holding all of my days and for knowing me full well.
Amen!

Where there's His will, there's a way.

Where there's His will, there's a way

That's a great little reminder isn't it? This month is the first month in a very long time that I have not felt the urge to sweat the small stuff. I think it's because of this sticky note I came across AND applying the truth of it to my life. Doesn't that above sentence just put it all in perspective? We can't do anything beyond His will and His will for us is for His glory and WHERE HIS WILL is involved there is always a way!! Praise you Jesus!!

"All of my life in every season You are still God I have a reason to sing. I have a reason to worship."

False Security

Every day I am amazed at how attached people are to their jobs, benefits, and "security". It's scary really. Every day I am amazed at people who pray for a financial answer but aren't willing to work for it or step outside the "box". Every day I am amazed by people who are highly "educated" & show elitism towards the "lesser". Every single day I'm faced with whiners, complainers, and skeptics. Every single day is full of questions, concerns, and people facing the economic crisis with nothing left to give. But EVERY SINGLE DAY I carry with me, by my side, the God of the universe that conquered all. He is a lamp to my feet in this dark dark world and has called me to LOVE everyone He's placed in my path. My "job" description might be "network marketing" for a company who's mission statement is to, "help others achieve their financial goals and life dreams" but my life and purpose is to show others the way to FULL ON FULL BLOWN SECURITY in CHRIST JESUS. He is all we need. An ever present help in trouble. Don't put your hope in your job or education or money or false security. He is all we need and it's my mission to share Him with every one in my path. Every. Single. Day.

*and thank you Jesus for the leaders I work with who don't complain and are on this mission with us. It's a pleasure!
