Thanksgiving!

Today was AMAZING!! Coffee with Kyle before Kennedy woke up, lunch at dads where my best friend showed up, & relaxation with dessert at my inlaws after that!

I'm thinking about braving the crowds to finish up Christmas shopping but I'm taking a bubble bath first!

Our tree and stockings are up
The house is clean
Yesterday I took Kennedy on a breakfast date to Cracker Barrel and she did NOT want to leave the country store. So cute!
My mom will be here after noon!
Tomorrow my mom won't be spending Thanksgiving with us because she is getting up to drive to Odessa to spend a few days with my sister, Landon, & Lance. On Thursday we will eat lunch at my dads and Stephanie, my bestie since high school is coming over to eat too! I can't wait! We will spend the rest of the afternoon with Kyle's parents and family we feel so very blessed! Bring on the thankfulness :) What are your plans?

Spirit Fest 2012

On Wednesday I found out that I was one of the winners for this contest! We were wanting to go but all of our babysitters had plans for the day so we had settled on the fact that we just weren't going. When we found out that I won we decided Kennedy would get to enjoy her first concert. Since this event starts at noon and ends around 9:45pm I knew it would be a long day and secretly I was dreading taking her.

Kennedy and I went out to the car at 1pm for her nap and she TOOK HER NAP! I knew that if she didn't sleep during her nap time she would be cranky but she got her full nap in in the car! AMAZING!

Switchfoot was great! Britt Nicole was better! Jeremy Camp was great and Mercy Me was amazing. I was not impressed with David Crowder..is that okay?

This girl simply amazed me! Not a tear was shed! NOT A ONE! She danced, clapped, sang, ate a hot dog, waved at people around us, talked to people around us, laughed. She is pure joy and the sweetest blessing! At one point she said, "RUN!" so she held my hand and we went for about a 30 minute walk all around Dell Diamond. If you ever have a chance to attend spirit fest YOU SHOULD! It was the most fun day for our little family! Thank you KVUE for the tickets!

21 Months & 1st Ear Infection

Yesterday Kennedy celebrated her 21 month birthday with the sniffles and a cough that woke her several times during the night. Today she woke up from her nap with goopy red eyes and was also tugging on her ear. A trip to the after hours clinic confirmed an ear infection and pinkeye for our angel gir. Her favorite thing to watch right now is Pinocchio which is, "nocchio" and through tears she requested we watch that this evening. We all snuggled up with some goldfish crackers and cuddled but every time she would cough she would cry. Poor little thing! She has been fast asleep since 8:30 and I pray she gets good rest tonight.

Happy Fall Y'all

What a Weekend

This weekend was supposed to be an exciting one with even a trip to the beach planned. On Thursday we drove to Victoria, TX to build our team there and then hopped on 59 North to head to Richmond to spend some time with my mom. On Friday we had a meeting at a Luby's off of 290 & Tidwell in Houston and added 4 new members to our team! That evening we ate Mexican food with my mom and began packing the car for our trip to Surf Side beach the next morning. Those plans all changed at 1:30am Saturday morning when our angel baby woke up throwing up and sick. I have never seen anything so sweet and pitiful at the same time. I think this whole event was meant to be because we ended up spending Saturday in our PJ's at my mom's house snuggling, watching the Olympics, and loving on Kennedy Kate. It was relaxing to not have anywhere to be or go. On Sunday I got up and went to church with my mom while Kyle stayed at my mom's house and kept Kennedy. After church we went to my Aunt Candy's house to celebrate my grandparent's 60th wedding anniversary. How awesome! Kennedy felt terrible when we got there but instantly changed her mood when she saw the buffet of chips and queso and guacamole. She is a little lady after my own heart! She would take her little chips and dip them just right and say, "yum yum" and then sip on her Pedilite. At 4 we headed back home to our house and Kennedy was fast asleep by 9pm. Even though this weekend was not what we had planned it was a true blessing to care for our little one in her time of need. Don't you know that God feels like that about us ALL THE TIME!!!

16 Months

I've been meaning to write this post for a few days. Kennedy is now 16 months old. I truly cannot believe how fast she is growing and we adore her!

Kennedy,
You are so loved! You are so funny, sweet, and happy most of the time. You still LOVE your blanket and cannot venture into the church nursery without it. Your newest trick is that you can crawl on and off the couch which keeps me pretty busy. You still sleep from about 9pm-9am and on most days you still take 2 naps. You love all fruit, cheese, & broccoli but aren't liking any meats much lately at all. You take all of the time and are always pointing out babies, cats, dogs, and balls. You love to go for walks and are always ready for an adventure. We are having a blast with you! We love you!!

Momma

My momma is in town. We've had a wonderful afternoon. We:
toured our new home (the grand tour takes about 3 minutes so you better be ready when you come visit)
Ate wonderful Mexican food
Chased Kennedy & Landon all around the front yard
Shared a pot of coffee on the back porch after Kennedy & Landon went to sleep
Played 3 games of words with friends together while sitting next to each other on my couch
Talked
Laughed til we cried
Hugged

It's been sweet and I get 2 more full days with her.

Wedding

Here are some pictures! It was a wonderful day for a wedding! Waking up early for a post wedding brunch and then resting the rest of Sunday. I love love and marriage and weddings. They do the heart good!
