Saturday Drive

Today we drove 364 miles round trip to Montgomery, TX and back for a meeting for our team. Eight guests were there to see how they can get paid back on their bills every month and 2 got started! So excited for Tammy and also for new Regional Sales Manager Henry Boyle who is a sweet and hard working 71 year old man committed to being able to help better his family financially. Never think that someone is too old or too shy or too tall or short to change something in their life. It's the heart that counts! What a fun day!

Click http://www.fhtmdvd.com for more info on how you can earn up to 25% on your bills every month and help others do the same. So fun! September 21st will be our 5th year in FHTM and we are so blessed to be a part of this!

Here's a pic of what we sang to on our drive. I love me some George!

Beach Day

We had a wonderful training in Corpus today! It was awesome to share business building tips with 150 committed FHTM representatives. This month new representatives have an opportunity to earn $800 in bonus money in their first 30 days with our company. This promotion has set FHTM on fire all over the country. So exciting! After the training, Kyle and I decided to spend some time at the beach. It was a blast! We are back in Buda now and excited about spending Sunday morning at church and the afternoon relaxing. Happy Sunday!

Diaper Rash & Doubling

Diaper Rash:
Kennedy has been battling a diaper rash for a day or so so she's been crying when it's time for a diaper change. Poor baby. I'm learning things about being a better parent every day. Like the late night I went to HEB for diapers and the only size 3's available were in the Munchkin brand and I didn't want to go to Wal-Mart AT ALL so I bought them against my better judgment and the next day with butt paste and all my sweet baby girl has a diaper rash that WILL NOT LEAVE. URGG After the run-on sentence trip BACK out to Wal-Mart the next day we have Pampers Cruisers and a little healing butt that you get to read about on this here blog. *sigh* rookie mommy mistake number 234829384

Doubling:
Doubling is a way for people who have partnered with FHTM (our home based business) to double their paycheck. We have had the pleasure of helping people go from single pay to double pay. Yesterday I got a call from a doubling paycheck person in tears because they were so thankful they have stuck with and pushed through the "no's" (we get a lot of those) to be able to pay all of their bills AND HAVE SOME LEFT OVER for the first time in 14 months. Blessing. I never thought I would be in network marketing and a really really never thought I could make a dime in it. I was wrong. I also never thought that I would have the chance to help a lot of other people make money for their families and in this economy that just thrills me.

So the point to this post is to say that I love being a mom and I love my work and I am so very thankful for every up and down and every joy and tear and sacrifice that they bring. I was put here for this purpose and for such a time AS THIS.

Stay at Home Parents

A lady asked me last night if we really enjoy working together and we looked at each other and laughed. It's the only way my husband and I work. When I taught high school and we were away from each other working separate goals 12 hours a day, we fought all the time. ALL. Our gifts and talents work perfectly together. We don't take our business for granted. I told the lady that this isn't about stay at home moms it's about stay at home parents. It's about living a full time life and working a part time business. It's truly a life with a pay plan.

Why Do Something?

I got a text today from a friend that said, "wow, why do you want to run another marathon?" ANSWER: Because running makes me feel alive and I'll get lazy if I don't have a goal and it has to be a big goal so I'll push myself a little harder than I think I can do if the goal is big and I feel/am closer to the Lord when I run" yes yes I know RUN ON sentence. This goal got me thinking:

Why do anything in life? People don't ask me all the time but I know they think it: Why in the world are you building a business with FHTM? My answer to that question is simple: Because I want to. Because I love people. Because I love being a part of something bigger than me. Because teaching at a high school in Austin was never going to get us out of the debt hole we were in. Because I still get to teach and coach every day of my life. Because it's worth it. But more than all of those things: I am forced to trust the Lord every day in every moment of working our business. He doesn't promise me success, health, or even ease in life but He does promise to make me loving, pure, and humble like Christ. Kyle and I have been with FHTM for 4 years next month and I can't imagine doing anything else with my life. In the book Just Do Something by Kevin DeYoung, he states: "If you are seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, you will be in God's will, so just go out and do something" (61.)

I will leave you with this video from John Piper:

Friday Night

Last night FHTM founder Paul Orberson came to San Marcos, TX to speak after a weekly business presentation. There were over 400 people in attendance with standing room only.

I love this picture that one of my teammates snapped. That's Paul Orberson and me in the background standing with Joel McNinch. We were listening to Kyle speak and he did FANTASTIC!
Kyle speaking. He's handsome huh?

Convention Day 2

Meet Darla DiGrandi! I was so excited to see her because she has taught me what it means to dress for success and how to raise my belief level. I am blessed to have her as a mentor who pushes me to reach my goals. She is a National Sales Manager and was just inducted into the Ring of Honor.
Ring of Honor being recognized on stage.
Tommy Chapa is the number one Executive Sales Manager in FHTM. He is a former mason from Bulverde, Texas and spoke to us about keeping it simple. He is an amazing man who cares deeply about people and loves the Lord.
Kyle and me
Our team rally. The company founder, Paul Orberson stopped by with words of encouragement. It is amazing to be a part of a company that exists to help others achieve their financial goals and life dreams. FHTM is company that was founded by a man that loves the Lord and has a calling on his life to help others succeed.
More of our team rally. What if we would have quit at month 4,5, or 6 when things were tough?

Very dear friends and team leaders from Fredericksburg. Melanie Krause and Olivia Wehmeyer are ladies I want in my life for years to come!
Molly and me again! I wish we lived closer to each other.

Convention Day 1

We arrived in Orlando on Thursday around 3:30pm and hit the pool. It was so nice to sit and relax in the sun and not have a thing to think about for a bit. After a day in the sun I was happy to see that there was a coffee pot in our room and I quickly made a fresh cup.

Later that night we met up with our teammates in the lobby! It was great to have our Fredericksburg leaders there with us.
Left to right: Kyle, Fil Cruz (resigned from his position as the director of the cardio pulmonary position at the Fredericksburg hospital thanks to the income he is making with FHTM part time), Laura Cruz, Heath Sasko, Melanie Krause (a barber that is looking forward to working FHTM full time in the very near future), and Randall Janc (a plumber that says his job stinks and he's ready to be full time as well). It is such a blessing to work with like minded people.

Molly Aguilar and me. She and her husband Scott are National Sales Managers and Ring of Honor recipients for FHTM. She is pregnant with their first child and they just found out they are having a baby girl! It will be so much fun to see these girls grow up with big dreams and goals.
Fil and Laura Cruz have doubled their FHTM business the last 4 months and have also earned the Fall trip! We are so blessed to work with them and so excited that they will be Executive Sales Managers in the next few days!
My mentor and very dear friend Diana Waggoner. I cannot put into words all that she and her husband Tom have done for us. They have taught us everything they know about business building and I am so thankful that they have coached us and believed in us from the beginning!

Day 2's post with come tomorrow!

Update 1

On Wednesday, July 13th we began packing for our 4 day/3 night trip to Orlando for our company convention. We knew we would miss this girl:

We headed over to Kyle's parents house to have an early celebration for Kyle's 32nd birthday.

I love this man! More to come about our wonderful trip to Orlando!!!

A Little Bit Focused

I haven't blogged a "run with me" post in the last few weeks so I am sorry if you haven't been able to run with me :) This weeks workout is as follows:

5 minute warm up walk
run 10 minutes
walk 1 and 1/2 minutes
run 10 minutes

I must say that I am enjoying the increased running minutes! I am actually able to get into a sort of zone and I feel stronger by the day. This Sunday I will be running in my first race since well fall 2009 crazy huh? I can't wait to run the Bun Run with A. Snell.

I know I need to post about Kennedy Kate's 3 month birthday but I just don't have the time at this time. After tonight we have 2 full days to finish a record month for us...so...I'm a Little Bit Focused. I will tell you that I LOVE LOVE LOVE being Miss K's momma and I just think I was made for it.

Noon

Thank you to our wonderful team who helped us achieve our goal! We couldn't have done this without each and every one of you. Also, thank you to my wonderful friends who have encouraged us in the last few weeks to keep pressing on toward our goal. Thank you to the Lord. Ephesians
3:20 is ringing in my heart so loud I had that I sobbed in my bubble bath with thanksgiving!!
And thank you to my wonderful husband who knew this day was coming since the day that we signed up in FHTM! I LOVE YOU and am so thankful that you believe! We pick the car up at Noon in Waco!
