Christmas Cards

I LOVE CHRISTMAS CARDS! I love sending them. Receiving them. And hanging them up in my home. I actually love ALL cards. I have a Rubbermaid box full of them and have been saving cards that people send to me since the 8th grade. My love languages are "words of affirmation" and "gifts" so a card as a surprise just fills my heart up! I am ordering our Christmas cards tomorrow so please keep a look out. If you did not receive a card from us last year please "comment" me your mailing address so I can send you one.

Merry Christmas!

There's No Crying in __________!!

We have all heard the line, "There's no crying in baseball!" however there is crying in INSANITY!
Yesterday we started our last 4 weeks in the INSANITY program and I am seriously considering starting over. Yesterday's workout I completed with exhaustion and today's, I flat out telling the truth cried my eyes out at one point. I am finding every push-up sequence very difficult which is making me think it might be smart to start from the beginning, master the push-up, and then 4 weeks from now I might be ready for phase 2. Thoughts? I am waiting to hear back from my Beachbody coach and will let you know what she suggests. I love the program and am committed to completing it. I may just need to start from the beginning to get the best results. Thanks for all of your encouragement as I try to "bring it" every day!

COACH CHARLINES RESPONSE:
"Girl, this is where it gets mental...and to be honest, you are going to have days like that. It's VERY VERY VERY important that you are eating and fueling properly before your workout because it's so easy to hit that wall with this workout. What you are describing is NOT unusual with this program. I am going to be honest... Push ups have always been and will ALWAYS be my challenge .... so don't beat yourself up!

So.. here's what you do....

You keep going... you do YOUR personal best for that day... some days you feel like you can kick anyone's @ss and the next, you don't feel like you could get out of a wet paper bag... that's normal!

You keep going and do your best.... know you'll have your down days, you're not going to be able to do every set perfect... but that's not what it's about anyway... I promise you that. :)"

Reason number 1245001

This little guy needs a home before Christmas and I want him so bad!! I already have a name for little "Buttermilk". Reason number 1245001 that I want a house. With a yard. So he can run. Patience is a virtue or so they say. I can wait for Mr. Buttermilk.

Tradition

So, most of you know I graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos (Formally knows as Southwest Texas State University..which I am reminded of every single time someone asks me where I went to college). If you know anything about the good ol' eat 'em up cats you know that that means we cheer for the Longhorns of the University of Texas in Austin. This is one of the main traditions I remember having, since I grew up in a home with parents who went to college at formally called Southwest Texas State University. Cool. I know. When I first started attending classes there in the spring of 2003 (I survived one semester at SFA and decided that Bobcats are WAY cooler than Lumberjacks) it was perfectly normal for freshman-seniors to wear Longhorn apparel to every class and skip bobcat games in hopes that one of their super top 10%er high school friends would have a student pass to the longhorn game..thank you very much Aaron Colyer. So you can only guess what my highlight of turkey day is :) Hook 'em Horns.
A much newer tradition (now that I am married) is that we have thanksgiving dinner (lunch) with Kyle's pretty much whole family in Buda at my inlaws. I LOVE this tradition because of Carol's award winning coffee bar with every creamer you can dream of. It's true. Tomorrow afternoon we will head to my dads, sit down with my bobcat dad, and cheer for UT like we are kin to Colt McCoy, and LOVE IT!!
Eat 'em up! Hook 'em! Happy thanksgiving! I am looking forward to many new traditions along the way. I think next year we should all do the Turkey Trot.
WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR TRADITIONS!?

Just Wait a Second.. or two

We prayed. We must wait. We would love to be in a house now but we want to be debt free even more than that! Just have to keep our eyes on the goal in front of us. Thank you all for praying for us. I think that waiting will give us an opportunity for an even better home!! Happy thanksgiving week!

Elm Grove

Nothing is final but we talked with Christine of Elm Grove in Buda today and will be making our decision on whether to move there in the next few days. Please pray for us as we begin making these important decisions. We are excited!! This is the Buckthorn and we love it!

Clouds

Yes I did. I did accept the cloud app on Facebook and I thought it was really neat. It generates a cloud of your most common status updates. I think this cloud describes me pretty well. I intend to update you about Women of Faith and other happenings soon! Isn't this weather just great?
